**Core Duties:**
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care for patients with urologic conditions.
- Acquire and document patient histories vital signs and genitourinary assessments.
- Triaging of patient concerns and symptoms via telephone patient portal or in-person consultations.
- Identification of urgent patient needs and effective communication of findings to the provider.
- Insertion and removal of urinary catheters including Foley and straight catheterization.
- Performance of bladder scans to evaluate post-void residual volume.
- Assisting physicians or advanced practice providers with in-office procedures such as cystoscopy and urodynamic studies.- Administration of bladder instillations and other intravesical treatments as prescribed.
- Collection of urine specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Provision of wound care and postoperative support for urologic procedures.
- Administration of medications and injections as prescribed including antibiotics and hormone therapies (e.g. testosterone).
- Monitoring patient responses to medications and treatments.
- Educating patients regarding medication use potential side effects and adherence.
- Providing education on disease processes and treatment plans pertinent to urologic conditions.
- Instructing patients on catheter care intermittent self-catheterization and postoperative care.
- Counseling patients on lifestyle modifications for kidney stone prevention and bladder health.
- Coordinating diagnostic tests laboratory work imaging studies and referrals.
- Facilitating effective communication with physicians advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary teams.- Ensuring follow-up appointments are conducted and continuity of care is maintained.
- Accurately documenting patient care procedures and communications within the electronic health record.
- Maintaining compliance with clinic policies infection control standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring proper preparation and sterilization of equipment utilized in urologic procedures.
**Work Schedule:** The work schedule will be from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday inclusive of a one-hour unpaid meal break.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Education:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- **Experience:** A minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse in an outpatient setting.- **Licensure:** A current unrestricted nursing license in any of the fifty states the District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.-
**Life Support Certification:** Possession and maintenance of a current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider certification.-
**Security:** The candidate must possess the ability to successfully pass a government background check and security clearance.
