Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the IT operations team including hiring training performance evaluations and professional development.
- Oversee the maintenance monitoring and optimization of IT infrastructure including servers networks cloud services and data centers.
- Develop and implement IT policies procedures and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR ISO 27001).
- Manage incident response problem resolution and disaster recovery planning to minimize downtime and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives such as system integrations software deployments and technology upgrades.
- Monitor IT budgets vendor relationships and procurement to optimize costs and ensure value for money.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports and metrics on IT performance uptime and service levels for senior management.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 7 years of experience in IT operations with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of networking cloud computing (e.g. AWS Azure) virtualization and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with ITIL DevOps or similar frameworks for IT service management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in tools such as monitoring software (e.g. Nagios Zabbix) and scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell).
