Reports to: Director APAC Sales (Analytical Instruments)
Location: India (Remote/Hybrid)
Travel: 30 - 50% within India and APAC countries
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development & Sales Manager APAC to expandPicarros footprint across the Asia-Pacific region. This role will drive both strategicbusiness development and hands-on sales execution building strong customer pipelinessupporting channel partners and identifying new market opportunities. The idealcandidate will bring a strong technical aptitude a customer-centric mindset and provenexperience selling scientific instruments analytical equipment or high-tech solutions inthe APAC region.
This role is expected to be based in India with a focus on regional growth in IndiaSoutheast Asia and East Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify analyze and prioritize new market opportunities in APAC acrosspharmaceutical environmental monitoring academic science commercialresearch laboratories and government sectors.
Experience in working with Pharmaceutical and Biotech customers is desirable
Develop market-entry strategies for new product lines and applications.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including industryassociations regulatory bodies government agencies and research institutions.
Conduct competitive analysis and provide market intelligence to internal teams.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Achieve assigned quarterly and annual sales targets by driving end-to-end salesactivitiesfrom prospecting to closing. Manage and grow existing accounts ensuring strong customer satisfaction andrepeat business.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools providing accurateforecasting and reporting.
Develop and support channel partners/distributors across APAC including trainingperformance reviews and joint customer visits.
Collaborate with internal technical applications product and marketing teams todeliver product demos proposals and RFP responses.
Customer & Technical Engagement
Understand customer requirements and translate them into practical productrecommendations.
Support product demonstrations technical discussions and solution positioning.
Provide post-sales coordination in collaboration with service and applicationsengineering teams.
Must be adept at working with Sales Management Tools (CRM)
Represent Picarro at conferences trade shows and technical seminars acrossAPAC.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering Physics Chemistry Environmental Science or arelated technical field; advanced degree preferred.
5-10 years of work experience in business development and/or sales of analytical instruments scientific equipment environmental monitoringtechnologies or related high-tech solutions.
Demonstrated success growing business in APAC markets (India SEA East Asia).
Strong network of contacts within research institutes environmental agenciesenergy companies industrial sectors or government bodies is a plus.
Excellent organizational communication presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication in English required
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced globally distributed teamenvironment.
Willingness to travel regionally (3050%).
