Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant with strong accounting expertise and a solid foundation in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our team. This hybrid role blends core accounting responsibilities with analytical support for budgeting forecasting and performance analysis. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment ensures financial accuracy and contributes insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance

Manage general ledger activities including journal entries reconciliations and month-end close
Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Oversee accounts payable and receivable related to operations sponsorships and vendor contracts
Support internal controls and coordinate with external auditors

FP&A & Strategic Support

Assist with annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Analyze actuals vs. budget and provide variance explanations to leadership
Build financial models to evaluate sponsorship ROI event profitability and operational efficiency
Partner cross-functionally to align financial planning with operational objectives

Reporting & Insights

Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting with clear actionable insights
Develop dashboards and KPIs to track performance and cost management
Provide ad hoc analysis to support leadership and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA CMA or MBA preferred)
5 years of progressive accounting experience including exposure to FP&A or financial analysis
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
