Job Title: Temporary Family Assistant

Location: Manhattan New York
Position Type: Temporary (3-Month Assignment) with Potential for Permanent Hire

Position Overview

A private family based in Manhattan is seeking a highly organized and proactive Family Assistant for a three-month temporary assignment with the potential for the role to become permanent. This position will work closely with the Executive Assistant to support the Principals with a special project related to the sale transition and management of multiple homes.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented flexible and comfortable managing logistics household inventory and travel coordination. This role requires a high level of discretion excellent organizational skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of the Principals.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday schedule.

  • Daily hours will vary based on the needs of the Principals and project timeline.

  • Some days may follow a 9:00 AM 5:00 PM schedule while others may be 12:00 PM 7:00 PM.

  • The ideal candidate will be flexible with work hours and adaptable to changing daily priorities.

  • Compensation: $50 - $60/hour DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Executive Assistant to support a project involving the sale and transition of the Principals residences.

  • Assist with organizing cataloging and maintaining inventory of storage bins and household items.

  • Coordinate logistics related to packing storage and household transitions.

  • Travel to the familys residence in South Carolina as needed to prepare the home in advance of the Principals arrival.

  • Ensure the home is fully stocked with household essentials and groceries prior to the Principals visits.

  • Maintain detailed records of stored items and household inventory.

  • Assist with general household and family administrative tasks related to property management and relocation efforts.

  • Provide hands-on support to ensure homes are organized prepared and operating smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Family Assistant Personal Assistant or Household Assistant in a private home environment.

  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Comfortable coordinating logistics related to home moves storage and property preparation.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to South Carolina as needed.

  • High level of discretion professionalism and reliability.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with an Executive Assistant and other staff.

Additional Details

  • This is a 3-month temporary assignment with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance and evolving household needs.

  • The role is primarily based in Manhattan with occasional travel to the Principals residence in South Carolina.
