Core Responsibilities

  • Managing zero-hour rebuilds on surface and underground equipment delivered on time and within budget

  • Planning and coordinating day-to-day tasks for the workforce

  • Conducting inspections and maintenance safely and efficiently ensuring all records and reports are accurate and up to date

  • Implementing and verifying safety control measures to mitigate operational risks

  • Leading daily pre-starts toolbox talks and task-based risk assessments

  • Coaching mentoring and motivating your team to achieve high standards of workmanship and safety

What we need from you

  • Minimum 5 years experience in heavy workshop and field maintenance with supervisory experience.
  • Trade qualified HD Mechanic
  • Strong leader with a proven ability to recruit motivate and manage a team.
  • Focused on safety able to identify risks and take action to reduce hazards.
  • Strong problem-solving analytical and mechanical skills.
  • Experience with mobile mining equipment and component rebuilds.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring workshop staff.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills to monitor performance and schedule work efficiently.
