About this opportunity
As our new Supervisor you will be responsible for the overall supervision and direction of the shift production team who process and recycle steel drums from return of used goods to end product and sold back out to the market.
Reporting to the Production Manager you will be a key member of the site leadership team and therefore responsible for the sites overall success. Self-driven with a strong ability to get things done safely and effectively you will uplift capability across the team to ensure and embed a culture of continuous improvement whilst maintaining the highest safety standards.
Available Shift: Day 6:00AM until 2:30PM.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure that ALL work is carried out in a safe working manner
- Co-ordinate and facilitate inductions for new starters
- Coordinate and deliver training and assist with assessment as required
- Manage production to plan during the shift including resourcing (labour)
- Control and management of production staff during the shift
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of key Operations reports (QC/NCR and Safety etc)
- Work closely with Production and Quality teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain plant production capability
- Forklift driving

Qualifications :
- 5 years experience in a heavy industrial environment e.g. foundry waste recovery facility water treatment
- Knowledge of the process for the manufacture of packaging including an understanding of the equipment is preferred
- Proven people leadership and change management experience with a collaborative and enabling approach.
