Southbridge Public Schools serve approximately 2200 students across six schoolsand were in the midst of an exciting and measurable particular our secondary schools are on a trajectory of rapid improvement. REQUIREMENTS:

1. An Associates Degree from an accredited college strongly preferred
2. Proficient in both English and Spanish in all forms of classroom communication
3. Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers
4. Cultural sensitivity and interest in working with a diverse student population
5. Able to communicate effectively in English with building administrators teachers and support staff students and parents

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide ESL and content area tutoring to Limited English Proficient students in small groups or one-to-one under supervision of the ESL classroom and / or content area teacher
• Meet with classroom teachers / grade level team on a regular basis for joint curriculum planning and student assessment
• Contribute to the decisions of the Language AssessmentTeam
• Communicate with parents as needed
• Attend professional development trainings for tutors
