Role Purpose & Success Outcomes
Purpose:
Provide first-line expert intellectual property advisory services to European SMEs and intermediary organizations ensuring high-quality guidance training and reporting across South-East Asia.
Success Outcomes:
- SMEs receive accurate practical IP advice that meets agreed quality benchmarks
- IP trainings are delivered consistently and meet program standards
- External IP expert network operates effectively and reliably
- High-quality IP reports and publications are delivered to the European Commission
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the IP enquiry helpline and deliver first-line advisory services on IP protection and enforcement in South-East Asia
- Draft IP case studies and contribute to high-level reporting for the European Commission
- Coordinate and manage a network of external IP experts across Europe and South-East Asia
- Deliver regular IP trainings in Vietnam and priority South-East Asian markets
- Ensure quality control of trainings delivered by external experts
- Represent the program at trade fairs matchmaking events and outreach activities
- Monitor IP-related legal and regulatory developments in South-East Asia and produce analytical reports
- Produce review and proofread IP-related publications and knowledge materials
Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications
- Required: Masters degree (or equivalent) in Law Business Administration or a related field
- Preferred (nice-to-have): Specialization in Intellectual Property
Professional Experience
- Required: Minimum 5 years of practical working experience related to Intellectual Property
- Proven understanding of IP protection and enforcement systems in South-East Asia
- Experience monitoring and evaluating legal developments
- Experience working with multinational stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Preferred (nice-to-have):
- Experience producing training materials and publications
- Experience working with European corporate or institutional stakeholders
- Knowledge of EU legal frameworks
- Familiarity with South-East Asian cultures
Technical Skills
- Required:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Strong legal drafting and report-writing skills
- Preferred (nice-to-have):
- Experience with databases and knowledge-management tools
Knowledge Domain
