About the service unit location and facility
The Transition to Speciality Practice Oncology position is based at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital within the Oncology Day Unit. This is a busy 8-chair 1-bed unit providing treatment for adults with oncological and haematological diagnoses from Armidale and surrounding communities. Operating Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) the service delivers safe compassionate and person-centred care in collaboration with patients families carers and the broader multidisciplinary team throughout the cancer journey.
The unit is supported by a dedicated Nurse Practitioner Clinical Nurse Consultant and a McGrath Breast Cancer Nurse alongside a team of skilled and compassionate nurses who share a strong commitment to providing the highest standard of care.

The Transition to Speciality Practice (TSP) is a 12-month supported learning program designed to develop your knowledge and skills in oncology and haematology nursing. No two weeks will be the same but you can expect to:
