About the role

As the Clinical Training Officer you will facilitate best practice clinical training courses and assessments to Caras workforce in accordance with legislative and compliance requirements.

This role ensures that staff members are equipped with the necessary competencies to provide high-quality care tailored to the unique needs of our clients; and aligns with the overarching learning and development strategy of fostering a culture focused on quality efficiency compliance safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive training curriculum covering a range of clinical topics including but not limited to disability awareness client care techniques complex care and crisis intervention.

Conduct training sessions workshops and webinars on clinical training topics using a variety of instructional methods such as lectures case studies role-plays and interactive activities.

Conduct competency assessments to ensure Caras staff are competent in delivering outstanding services as per client needs.

Assess the effectiveness of clinical training programs through pre-and post-training evaluations feedback surveys and observation of staff performance to identify areas for improvement.

Partner with internal stakeholders such as department heads supervisors and subject matter experts to identify training needs prioritise training initiatives and coordinate training schedules.

Maintain accurate records of training activities attendance evaluations and outcomes and generate reports to communicate the impact of clinical training initiatives to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

About you

Proven experience in training & assessment with a diverse workforce culture (preferably in the disability or human services sector).

A passion for developing people and delivering training that matters with a commitment to excellence.

Experience in the use of information technology systems and software and proven ability to learn new systems with ease.

Working knowledge of the NDIS legislative requirements relating to clinical training compliance or could quickly acquire this knowledge.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders and clients.

Outstanding organisational and time management skills able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities without compromising the quality of work.

Essential Criteria

AHPRA registration as a registered nurse.

Current Australian drivers licence.

Current NDIS Worker Check (or willing to acquire).

You have the rights to work in Australia.

Some travel within Adelaide metro and regional South Australia may be required.

Some out of hours work might be required.
