Description
This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional radiological services in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD in Radiology you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients through imaging techniques. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and contribute to the overall efficiency of our medical practice. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays CT scans and MRIs
- Interpret imaging results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to determine appropriate imaging strategies
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in radiology
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
- Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with advancements in radiological technology and practices
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
- Experience in a radiology setting preferably as a locum
- Strong proficiency in various imaging modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient care and safety
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Setting: Onsite
Daily volume: 55 RVUs
Caseload: 40% XR 35% CT 10% IR/fluoro 5% MR 5% US and 5% mammo
Required Procedures: Paracentesis thoracentesis abscess drain chest tube percutaneous drain CT/US-guided biopsies arthrogram lumbar puncture and fluoro
