The Role:

Our site in Colorado Springs CO is seeking aPrincipal Membrane Process Engineerto join our team.Our site manufacturesLiquidMicroContamination Control (LMC) membrane products such as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UPE) membrane and other membrane products for Semi-conductor and Life Science industries.You willjoin ourteamto start up a new membrane operations plant.As part of this effort you will drive the commissioning and qualifying of both processes and equipment for use in high volume production.We needsomeone whohasexpertiseinmembrane manufacturing processesor related fields.

WhatYoullDo:

  • Work with an existingcross-functionalteam includingOperationsMembrane R&DQualityEquipment &AutomationFacilitiesNew ProductionIntroeuctionEH&S andProjectManagement to make our new plant a success.

  • Successful Validation and Qualification (V&Q) execution ofmembrane products

  • Lead efforts to guide theinstallationand commissioning of new production scale equipment following typical IQ/OQ protocols.

  • Develop and qualify membrane processes on new equipment to meet Key Performance Output Variables (KPOV) targets.

  • Design and executeexperimentsutilizestatistical tools to analyze experimental data to drive development andoptimizeprocesses.

  • Driveoperationreadiness of a new membrane manufacturing line.

  • Develop and drivenew solutionsto existing membranemanufacturing challenges such as improving yield increasingcapacityand minimizing variation.

  • Communicate with multicultural cross functional team and build consensus to drive projects to completionin a timely manner.

  • Provide documentation support such as creating/maintainingdrawings SOPs testproceduresandtest data.

  • Be a hands-on Engineer andguide the team asSubject Matter Expert (SME).

  • Maintain presence in the manufacturing area to provide sustaining manufacturing support. Resolveday-to-dayproduction/process issues. Drive issues to root cause

  • Responsiblefor guidingtechnical evaluations analysis and implement process solutions to complex problems enhancing our fully data-driven and risk-based thinking culture

  • Embodiment of a sense of ownership and passion of the process and driving improvements through creative solutions

  • Work assignments may include continuous improvementsustainingprojectsas well as new membrane developmentvia stage gate process

  • Individualswillbe requiredto spendafew weeks atthe existingBedford MA site aspartofonboardingto gain process knowledge to besuccessfulin this roleat the newColorado Springs Manufacturing facility.

  • Ability to prioritize short term needs of day-to-day production environment along withlong-termdeliverables and timelines

  • Lead with influence across multi-disciplinary team

  • Can take on assignments with broadobjectiveswhere guidance is provided on critical issues only.

  • Require providing work guidance and mentorship to Engineers and others

What We Seek:

  • B.S or M.S. in Chemical/Materials/Polymer engineering or related technical discipline

  • Experience in membrane manufacturing polymer twin-screw extrusion web handling or thin film processing or non-woven manufacturing processes

  • Six sigma certificationsandexperience in statistical data analysis with MINITAB or other statistical software and capable ofutilizingdata for informed engineering-related decision-making.

  • Minimum of10years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a significant amount of that time successfully leading processes and / or continuous improvement related initiatives.

  • Must have both strong hands-on experience and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Proven Project Management skills and experience

  • Experience using IQ/ OQ/ PQ protocols

  • Experience in lean manufacturing.

  • Ability to adaptto changingresponsibilities quickly based on business needs

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be a strong contributor to a cross-functional development team

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have some flexibility inthe workschedule duringinitialstart-up to meet the demands ofthe projectschedule.After plant start-up is complete expecta scheduleto return to normal business hours.

  • Demonstratedproficiencyin Statistical Process Control Failure Mode and Effects Analysis Validation & Qualification processes

  • A collaborative leader that inspires cross-functional teams prioritizing and driving for execution

OutstandingCandidatesWillHave:

  • Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification

  • Subject matterexpertiseon membrane manufacturing processes

  • Provenexpertisein qualifying new facilities equipment processes or products

Compensation: $140000 - 160000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
