Construction Solicitor
Salary:(DOE) Bonus
Location: Manchester (other locations available) (Hybrid Working Supported)
Experience: 3 years PQE (Construction Law)
Are you ready to join a market-leading award-winning law firm with a people-focused culture and a reputation for excellence Our clients Construction Team in Preston is seeking a talented Solicitor (Associate/Senior Associate) with proven construction law experience to manage a varied caseload and play a key role in the teams growth and development.
The Opportunity
Manage a busy caseload of construction matters both contentious and non-contentious with immediate responsibility for existing work
Advise clients across the construction industry including contractors developers architects engineers local councils and homeowners
Draft review and negotiate construction documentation (contracts professional appointments collateral warranties bonds guarantees etc.)
Advise on JCT NEC IChemE and FIDIC contracts as well as procurement and risk management
Handle disputes: breach of contract delay & disruption loss & expense adjudication arbitration and litigation in the Technology & Construction Court
Collaborate with colleagues across service lines (commercial property corporate commercial)
Support supervise and develop junior team members
Contribute to business development knowledge sharing and team objectives
Write blogs/LinkedIn posts and participate in client training or seminars (optional)
What Were Looking For
Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE in construction law
Experience managing own caseload with minimal supervision
Strong technical expertise in both contentious and non-contentious construction matters (desirable)
Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts (desirable)
Excellent attention to detail organisation and communication skills
Commercially aware proactive and confident in client-facing situations
Proven business development ability and track record of building networks
Ability to collaborate and support team development
