This is a hybrid position. Youll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office so you should live within commuting distance. Our Control Plane horizontal team is on the lookout for a passionate Software Development Manager to help orchestrate and configure our hosting products including Managed WooCommerce Stores Managed WordPress Pagely Airo Builder and more. This team of 24 engineers and 2 managers is currently focused on building a revolutionary multi-tenant WordPress hosting platform!

What youll get to do...

• Lead and mentor a team of up to eight software engineers encouraging continuous learning growth and high performance
• Own and drive engineering perfection ensuring strong code quality scalability reliability and testability
• Translate complex business needs into simple scalable and maintainable technical solutions
• Partner closely with a distributed cross-functional team to deliver against shared business goals
• Leverage data and insights to improve product performance and elevate the customer experience

Your experience should include...

• 2 years of experience managing mentoring and developing engineering teams
• 5 years of hands-on experience in software development
• Strong expertise across both front-end and back-end technologies with experience leading engineers across varied abilities
• Experience automating development and operational workflows from build pipelines to monitoring and supervision
• Solid understanding and practical application of agile development practices

You might also have...

• Solid understanding of AWS and cloud-based services
• Experience crafting and building highly scalable systems
• Hands-on experience with containerized architectures
• Familiarity with secure coding standards and software security guidelines
