Job Summary

Role Summary

The Lead for DEI for our GC team is responsible overseeing how the Enterprise DEI policies programs and initiatives are activated across GC. They will ensure standardization of work across Nike global teams while being able to integrate the unique geographical culture and legal landscape of GC and where needed build bespoke programming. As such they will be the single point of contact for everything DEI for the teams in GC and will be able to function in a highly matrix structure.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic:

Partner with HRBPs and Business Leaders at the Geo level to operationalize and integrate the central enterprise DEI strategy per the needs of GC while providing insights about the Geo to the enterprise team for more inclusive programming

Partner with local legal teams to ensure our policies and practices in DEI are aligned to the local landscape and advise on changes accordingly

Ensure our DEI practices in GC are complaint with local laws and as needed establish/updated programming to ensure compliance

Partner with comms teams to ensure leadership visits to Geos and all communications shared in the Geos are adapted to the needs and culture of the Geo

Apply innovation and creativity to how the programming from our Employee Resource Groups are customized for the needs of our Geo ensuring that the programming and activations are impactful for the Geo and also aligned with the enterprise ERGs.

Sharing respective talent intelligence and insights for the Geos with our HR COEs for more impactful talent programming

Identify external partnership opportunities in collaboration with SCI TA OD

Represent regional interests in the Global DEI team meetings and activations as needed

Operational:

Develop trusted relationships among the HRBPs Business managers employees and ERG leaders at the geo

Partner with DEI peers working to manage ERGs to proactively plan events for countries in GC

Anticipate potential roadblocks identify opportunities for improvement and provide practical approaches to problem solvingwhile monitoring compliance and coordinating with legal counsel as needed

Embed a data driven approach to defining success metrics for the business teams and brands they support and review insights for meaningful future programming

Manage relationships with external partners

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Human Resource Management or related field;

7-9 years relevant experience in DEI and/or HR preferred

Strong program & project management process and organizational skills including managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities to achieve strategic objectives

Have a deep understanding of GC while understanding the unique landscape of different areas in theregion

Experience in program development and implementation

Ability to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures and ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.

Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to gather relevant data and information actively listen dialogue freely verbalize ideas effectively and deliver presentations to senior leadership and external leaders

Capability to build and maintain cross-functional and cross-regional networks with internal and external resources

Ability to facilitate connections and build relationships across diverse stakeholders

Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives across a matrix organization leveraging collaboration relationship-building and strategic alignment to achieve business objectives.

Experience with HR processes of the employee life-cycle
