Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify pursue and secure new business opportunities within target sectors through prospecting networking and strategic market engagement
  • Build maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with clients ensuring regular meetings service reviews and high client satisfaction
  • Prepare develop and present detailed commercial proposals quotations estimates and tender submissions tailored to client requirements
  • Negotiate commercial terms rates and contracts with clients and suppliers to achieve profitable and sustainable agreements
  • Oversee onboarding of new clients coordinating with operational teams for smooth handover and implementation of SOPs and SLAs
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM updating leads opportunities client interactions and sales pipelines and provide weekly/monthly performance reports
  • Stay informed on industry trends sector developments competitor activities and market shifts to identify growth opportunities and share insights with internal teams
  • Participate in client events networking opportunities and sector-specific initiatives to strengthen brand presence and market positioning
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Grade 12; tertiary qualification in Logistics Supply Chain Business or Management advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years proven sales experience in logistics clearing & forwarding or freight management
  • Experience in one or more targeted sectors (FMCG Mining Oil & Gas Telecommunications Aid & Relief) desirable
  • Professional presentation excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a proven ability to close deals and manage complex client relationships
  • Ability to read interpret and analyze financial data including budgets and P&L statements
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
  • Strategic thinker capable of developing and executing sector-specific sales plans
  • Resilient adaptable and able to work under pressure to meet targets
