Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Stores and Bars Controller to be based Shurugwi.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Negotiable

Main Responsibilities:

Stock & Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate records of all stock levels ( Beverage stores Freezer Rooms Dry stores Chemical stores ).
  • Conduct regular physical counts audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Set min/max stock thresholds; reorder items before running out.
  • Implement FIFO (First In First Out) and other inventory control method.
Receiving & Dispatching Goods
  • Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Inspect quality expiry dates and store items in the correct locations.
  • Coordinate Stock Issues to outlets Production Kitchens and Client with proper documentation.
Financial Oversight
  • Record all financial transactions related to inventory (purchases sales wastage).
  • Prepare inventory reports variance analyses and cost control summaries.
  • Assist with budgeting forecasting and cash flow management for the bars and snack shops.
Supplier & Procurement Liaison
  • Work with Head office procurement team to source materials at optimal cost.
  • Negotiate delivery schedules pricing and quality standards.
  • Handle returns replacements and supplier disputes.
Loss Prevention & Compliance
  • Monitor shrinkage theft and spoilage; implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure adherence to health safety and environmental regulations.
  • Enforce proper handling storage and documentation practices.
Team Leadership & Training
  • Supervise stores persons bar staff and Cashiers.
  • Delegate tasks conduct performance reviews and provide training on SOPs.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy safety and customer service.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly inventory and sales reports and submit to management.
  • Use data analytics to forecast demand adjust stock levels and improve profitability.
Housekeeping & Safety Standards
  • Keep stores bars and warehouse areas clean organized and hazard free.
  • Ensure all staff follow SHEQ (Safety Health Environment Quality) standards.

Qualifications.
  • Relevant Diploma in Hospitality.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in a hospitality organisation.
