About the role:
The General Manager is responsible for the leadership performance and profitability of a portfolio of hospitality venues in Brisbane. This senior role has full P&L accountability and oversees strategy operations guest experience people and compliance across all sites.
Youll be a hands-on commercial leader who can balance day-to-day operational excellence with long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
- Set and execute the vision strategy and growth roadmap across venues
- Lead and develop senior leaders driving accountability and performance
- Establish group-wide goals and monitor results
- Identify expansion opportunities refurbishments and new concepts
Financial & Commercial Management
- Full P&L ownership across all venues
- Budgeting forecasting and performance reporting
- Drive revenue growth pricing promotions and cost control
- Oversee procurement supplier negotiations and inventory management
Operations & Customer Experience
- Ensure consistent service brand and guest experience standards
- Oversee operational systems across FOH BOH events and F&B
- Drive menu innovation concept refreshes and operational efficiencies
- Manage capital works maintenance and asset improvements
People Compliance & Risk
- Oversee recruitment performance management training and succession
- Ensure compliance with employment law WHS licensing and food safety
- Manage risk safety procedures audits and incident reporting
- Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Represent the business with landlords regulators suppliers and partners
- Report performance and insights
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- 5 years senior leadership experience in hospitality or multi-venue operations
- Proven P&L management and strong commercial acumen
- Hands-on operational background in F&B / hospitality
- Proven ability to lead and develop large high-performing teams
- Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Solid understanding of compliance licensing and safety requirements
- Flexible mobile and comfortable working across multiple venues
Desirable:
- Experience scaling or launching hospitality venue
- Knowledge of the Brisbane / Queensland market
- Hospitality or business qualification
