Solution IT Inc. is looking for SCADA Data Architect for one of its clients in Houston TX
Job Title: SCADA Data Architect
Summary:
- Build Real-time industrial control automation and monitoring system that allow operators to monitor and control industrial equipment (like pumps motors or power grids). High-level blueprinting of the entire SCADA data ecosystem. SCADA Data Architect doesnt just build one system; they design the framework that allows data from various sources (including Field Network) to be integrated stored and used for business intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- HMI Development: Designing Human-Machine Interface (HMI) screens for operators to visualize real-time plant data.
- Alarm Management: Setting up critical alarm thresholds to alert staff of equipment failure or safety risks.
- Unit/Function Testing: Python or Scripting (for modern SCADA) and Ladder Logic (for PLCs).
- Networking: Knowledge of industrial Ethernet and cybersecurity for OT (Operational Technology).
- Integration Strategy: Designing how data moves from source to destination via ETL (Extract Transform Load) or ELT pipelines.
- Scalability Planning: Ensuring the data architecture can handle future growth in data volume and variety.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to bridge the gap between technical constraints and business goals.
