1. Legal Compliance:
- Responsible for ensuring valid CTE CTO and Hazardous waste authorization from HPSPCB.
- Submission of returns reports response to notice etc. related PCB CPCB MoEF Fire Deptt. etc.
- Ensuring condition wise compliance to all conditions mentioned consent/License/permit/Authorization.
- Escalate non-compliance and potential gaps to site head and CEHS Head.
- Responsible for full filling all requirements as mentioned in comply Global software and comply with requirements as prescribed.
2. General Safety and process Safety:
- Monitor all applicable EHS management activities to ensure adherence to set standards and take corrective measures in case of non-conformance.
- Implementation of USV EHS policy and Life Saving Rules.
- Recommend inbuilt safety systems to handle all operations safety and ensure safety by design.
- Ensure compliance to system and take corrective action in case of non-adherence.
- Conducting EHS inspection in all work places and ensure implementation of CAPA.
- Learning Incidents (Near Miss reporting) identification of unsafe acts and conditions as per monthly site targets.
- Investigation of injuries & incidents and implementation of CAPAs with the help of site HODs
- Preparation and updating of all relevant documentation time to time.
- Ensure availability and functionality of all safety equipment.
- Ensuring all emergency systems and equipment are in good working condition.
- Implementation of all EHS procedure and policies.
- Report incident through EHS software including incident investigation.
- Encouraging reporting of Near Miss incidents unsafe acts/conditions as per monthly site target.
- Responsible for operation of ETP as per design parameters and ensure PCB conditions.
- Conducting need based to all employees and contract workers.
- Conduct/ re visit risk assessments for identification and elimination/control of risks.
- Prevention of chemical exposure to employees and safe handling of high potent drugs.
- Coordinate/ensure external audits like Safety electrical HAC ESD and Hygiene.
- Ensure OEL reports for all APIs MSDS for all API and chemicals handled in the site.
- Ensure powder safety parameters are in place for all API product.
3. Audit Compliance:
- Conduct internal and external safety audits in the plant in collaboration with team other departments and external agencies.
- Tracking of all EHS CAPAs implementations and escalate long pending to site head and CEHS.
- Oversee co-ordination for Customer/ISO audits to provide relevant data and ensure implementation.
- Compliance CAPA closure related Legal inspections Safety inspections walk through External & Global audits Safety committee meetings and Risk assessment/ HazOp studies.
- Ensuring that the IMS conforms to the requirements of 45001:2018 and 14001:2015.
- Regular reporting on the performance of the IMS to top management.
4 Budgetary Planning and Control:
- Overall responsible for site EHS Opex and Capex budget monitoring.
- Monitor costs periodically and take actions to address non adherence to approved budget loss.
5. Innovations:
- Providing Engineering control for prevention of injuries/fires/property loss.
- Implementation of new technology for reducing impact on Environment like Energy conservation water neutral Green energies waste reduction etc.
6. Implementation of guidelines advised by CEHS:
- Implementation of guidelines SOPs as advise given CEHS.
- Updating data and information as prescribed in EHS software.
- Participating in weekly calls and implementation of guideline given by CEHS time to time.
- Preparation/updating PPTs for quarterly EHS review meetings and all unresolved risks and long pending action plans to be escalated to site head and CEHS head at least once in 15 days.
- Allresponsibilitiesassigned by site head should be completed as per time lines and should keep CEHS in loop.
7. Authorities:
- Authorized to stop any activities / process in case of any imminent danger is identified in that activity/process.
