Job Summary

Overview

As a Sessional Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live youll work with people who use our services helping them get to where they want to be.

We have an exciting opportunity for several Sessional Recovery Workers with our Criminal Justice and Complex Case Teams in Hastings.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate aboutsupporting individuals on their recovery journey working closely with them to rebuild their confidence skills and connections within their communities.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual so being flexible curious and a good listener are key.

Youll have to record information about what you do so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time youll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds making a difference to their lives.

Location: Hastings

Salary Range: 16.89 per hour*

Contract Type: Sessional Worker

*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

What Youll Be Doing

As a Sessional Recovery Worker you will be at the heart of our services providing personalised and meaningful support to individuals navigating their recovery journey.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored supportguiding individuals from their first contact with us through to their recovery
  • Conducting assessments and recovery planningensuring that support is responsive to individual needs
  • Facilitating group workand workshopscreating opportunities for peer support and personal development
  • Working in partnershipcollaborating with key partner agencies
  • Safeguarding and risk managementensuring that all individuals feel safe and supported
  • Team work- being part of a fast-paced team with competing demands

This role is an opportunity tomake a real impact working with people to help themmove forward in life with confidence and purpose.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in substance misuse
  • Is an excellent communicatorboth written and verbalwith strong IT administrative organisational and recording skills
  • Has experience facilitating group sessionsand working directly with service users
  • Is proactive and self-motivatedable to manage a caseload independently while contributing to a team
  • Works well with othersbuilding positive relationships with both colleagues and external partners in all sectors including the enforcement agencies.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality ensuring a safe and respectful service environment

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
