Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum - Medical Oncologist in Grand Rapids MI

Join the dedicated team at a leading outpatient cancer center located in Grand Rapids Michigan renowned for its patient-centered care. The Richard J. Lacks Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Oncologist with a primary focus on lung cancer while also engaging with a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a team of 6 physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient oncology setting.
Participate in weekly Tumor Board meetings.
Order necessary tests and imaging.
Prescribe appropriate treatments for patients.
Perform required procedures such as FNA/Biopsy.
Contribute to the administration of chemotherapy coordinated with a nurse oncologist.
Oversee an average caseload of 8-16 patients per day in the clinic.
Utilize Epic EMR for patient records and documentation.

Qualifications:

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.
Strong interest in hematology and oncology with a focus on lung cancer.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in outpatient settings is preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

Active Michigan License (highly preferred).
BLS Certification (required).
NPDB document must be uploaded pulled within the last month or within 90 days (required).
