We are looking for the Training Research and Capacity Building Lead who is responsible for the strategic design implementation and oversight of Daktari Onlines training programmes research initiatives and partner capacity-building interventions. This is a commercially accountable growth-oriented leadership role tasked with scaling Daktari Onlines training Continuing Professional Development (CPD) academic partnerships and applied research portfolio.
The role requires a dynamic and results-driven professional with demonstrated expertise in healthcare education research methodologies and professional development. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality impactful and market-relevant programmes that align with Daktari Onlines strategic objectives and respond to the evolving needs of healthcare professionals. The position integrates academic rigour market responsiveness partnership development and revenue performance with clear accountability for both programmatic excellence and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Programme Development
- Lead the design development and continuous improvement of Daktari Onlines training CPD research and capacity-building portfolio in line with organizational strategy.
- Translate healthcare workforce needs market trends and policy priorities into commercially viable and academically sound programmes.
- Develop annual departmental work plans budgets and growth targets with clear performance indicators.
2. Training & CPD Delivery:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of training and CPD programmes including curriculum design accreditation faculty coordination delivery models (virtual hybrid in-person) and learner assessment.
- Ensure programmes meet regulatory professional body and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain high standards of instructional quality learner experience and measurable learning outcomes.
3. Research & Knowledge Generation
- Lead applied research initiatives aligned with Daktari Onlines strategic priorities healthcare system needs and partner requirements.
- Oversee research design data collection analysis reporting and dissemination of findings through publications policy briefs and stakeholder engagements.
- Promote ethical research practices and compliance with relevant research governance frameworks.
4. Academic & Institutional Partnerships
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with universities training institutions professional associations regulators and development partners.
- Negotiate and manage MoUs joint programmes and collaborative research and training initiatives.
- Position Daktari Online as a credible partner in healthcare education research and capacity building at national and regional levels.
5. Commercial Performance & Growth
- Drive revenue growth from training CPD research and capacity-building services.
- Develop and own the departments services menu pricing models and value propositions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities grants consultancies and funded projects in collaboration with the commercial and leadership teams.
6. Quality Assurance & Impact Measurement
- Establish and enforce quality assurance frameworks for training and research activities.
- Monitor programme performance learner outcomes partner satisfaction and return on investment.
- Produce regular performance impact and financial reports for management and partners.
7. Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Lead mentor and manage departmental staff consultants and faculty contributors.
- Build internal capacity in curriculum development research methods monitoring and evaluation and programme management.
- Set clear performance expectations and support professional development within the team.
8. Stakeholder Engagement & Thought Leadership
- Represent Daktari Online in high-level engagements conferences and technical forums related to training research and health workforce development.
- Contribute to thought leadership through publications presentations and participation in sector dialogues.
- Strengthen Daktari Onlines brand and visibility as a leader in healthcare training and applied research.
9. Compliance Risk & Governance
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and manage operational academic and financial risks within the department.
- Uphold ethical standards data protection and intellectual property management across all programmes and research activities.
