Job Overview
The Fundraising & Partnerships Manager is responsible for mobilizing the full spectrum of structured capital required to advance the companys hydroelectric power project portfolio. This role plays a critical part in the project financing strategy with a primary focus on building institutional partnerships and securing grant funding concessional finance and commercial debt to optimize the companys capital structure and support sustainable growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Capital Sourcing & Partnership Development
Identify develop and secure strategic partnerships with lenders development finance institutions government agencies and industry partners to de-risk projects and unlock financing opportunities.
Lead the end-to-end origination and execution of commercial project debt and concessional financing engaging commercial banks MDBs DFIs and infrastructure debt funds.
Support the design and execution of integrated capital stack strategies blending grants concessional debt commercial debt and partner equity to enhance project bankability and returns.
2. Grant & Concessional Funding Management
Identify and pursue grant and highly concessional funding opportunities from public institutions climate funds and development partners.
Manage the full grant and concessional funding lifecycle including proposal development negotiations compliance reporting and donor engagement.
Ensure alignment of funding structures with impact ESG and donor reporting requirements.
3. External Relations & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a key point of contact for lenders DFIs donors government agencies and strategic partners.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the project finance development finance and climate finance ecosystems.
Represent the company at relevant financing industry and policy forums to strengthen visibility and partnership opportunities.
4. Financial Modelling & Funding Proposal Development
Work closely with finance technical and project teams to develop bankable financial models investment memoranda and credit applications.
Contribute to structuring and drafting high-quality funding proposals and partnership frameworks that clearly articulate project value risk mitigation and financial sustainability.
Support lender due diligence processes through data preparation analysis and coordination.
5. Team Support & Process Development
Provide guidance and day-to-day support to the grants executive and other team members involved in fundraising activities.
Assist in developing and improving internal processes related to capital sourcing transaction management and financial close.
Contribute to the definition and tracking of fundraising KPIs aligned with organizational targets.
