Zen Carbon is seeking a Control & Automation Lead to architect implement and scale the automation backbone of our mineralization reactors. This role will transition our systems from partially manual operation to fully instrumented PLC-based control architectures integrating process control MRV carbon accounting and deployable digital MRV (dMRV) frameworks.
You will own:
PLC system architecture for next-generation mineralization reactors
Real-time process monitoring and control
Sensor and actuator integration
Data acquisition and infrastructure design
Reaction-state inference from sensor signals
Failure detection and diagnostics
Scalable dMRV-ready infrastructure
What Success Looks Like (7 Months)
Fully deployed PLC architecture for next-gen mineralization reactor
Instrumentation framework with defined uncertainty budgets
Automated carbon accounting pipeline
dMRV-ready infrastructure
Documented FMEA and diagnostics framework
Scale-ready automation blueprint
Requirements
2 years in industrial automation or process control
Deep PLC experience (Siemens TIA Portal Rockwell etc.)
Experience in chemical cement gas handling or process industries
Strong knowledge of PID control and industrial instrumentation
Familiarity with SCADA and industrial communication protocols (OPC-UA Modbus)
