Job Summary
Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Project Officer/Project Officer (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the HKU Research Hub of Population Studies (the Population Hub) Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 534095) ( to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of proven experience preferably in a tertiary institution. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); a strong sense of responsibility; excellent organisational interpersonal and communication skills; good IT proficiency; and be able to work independently in a team attentive to details and handle multiple tasks with self-motivation and prioritise effectively under tight deadlines.
This appointee will provide support to the Population Hub including (a) assisting in events and knowledge exchange activities and visits (b) providing support in answering enquiries (c) maintaining webpages and managing records and bookings (d) assisting in general office administration and (e) performing other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview. Applicants with more qualification and experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Project Officer.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
