Our client is a recognized leader in the distribution of high-quality products in Central Africa successfully operating in local and international markets.
To strengthen its sales team our client is looking for an experienced Sales Representative specialized in tires for its Hardware Department in Douala. This role is essential to energize the market develop revenue and ensure excellent coverage of the area.
I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (THE KEY ROLE)
Under the supervision of the Department Head/Sales Supervisor the incumbent will have direct responsibility for the sales performance in their sector. Their main responsibilities will be:
1. Sales and Business Development:
Prospecting:Identify prospect and convert new clients (Shops Garages Fleets Distributors etc.) in the allocated area.
Customer Loyalty:Manage visit and maintain trust-based relationships with existing customers to guarantee satisfaction and optimize recurring order volumes.
Negotiation:Effectively present products negotiate prices and commercial terms while respecting the company's margins and finalize orders.
2. Achieving Targets and Reporting:
Performance:Achieve the quantitative and qualitative sales targets set by the Sales Management.
Reporting:Write regular activity reports (visits prospecting sales) and relay relevant field information.
3. Market Intelligence and Compliance:
Market Watch:Gather information on competitors' prices and promotional activities.
Compliance:Ensure accurate tracking of customer accounts receivable and strictly adhere to internal policies and procedures particularly regarding order management and collections.
II. PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
1. Required Education and Experience
Education:Minimum Bachelor's Degree) in Sales Marketing Business or Management.
Experience:Minimum 3 to 5 years of successful field sales experience with essential experience in the automotive tire sector or technical products/hardware.
2. Technical Skills (Know-how)
Product Expertise:Knowledge of different types and brands of tires.
Sales Techniques:Mastery of B2B and B2C sales prospecting and negotiation techniques.
Tools:Good command of office software and the use of a CRM or sales management software.
Mobility:Valid driver's license (Category B) essential and availability for frequent travel within Douala and its outskirts.
3. Personal Qualities (Soft Skills)
Autonomy:Strong organizational skills and autonomy in managing one's sector.
Results-Oriented:Passionate about challenges proactive and focused on achieving and exceeding targets.
Integrity:Honest rigorous and capable of representing the Group's image with professionalism.
Bilingualism:Fluency in both French and English is an asset.
