The Business Partnering team works in a fast-paced collaborative environment to ensure that Griffith University has a capable engaged and productive workforce that is fit to deliver its strategic and operational goals.
Initially this role will be supporting the Health Group and will report to a Senior HR Business Partner. The HR Business Partner will work across a diverse professional and academic portfolio.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Partner with the Senior HR Business Partner to execute on key workforce operational activities
- Provide timely and practical advice on employee related issues (e.g performance management case management conflict resolution coaching)
- Support workforce planning activities & contribute to change management initiatives
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Maintain accurate and compliant HR Records
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives & collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Influencing leaders across the University to foster a culture of belonging integrity and commitment
What you will bring to this role
- Knowledge of contemporary human resource practices and related legislation and industrial instruments
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice and manage the full range of HR issues
- High level communication interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Exceptional computer literacy with an ability to use complex HRIS and related reporting/analytics tools
- A degree in Human Resource Management or a related field and relevant knowledge and experience in human resource management and industrial relations in a diverse and complex organisation.

This is a full-time fixed-term (until 14 August 2026) opportunity based at our Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
HEW 8 salary range $113713 - $127923 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $133044 - $149669 per annum.
