Job Title: Purchasing Administrative Assistant

Pay Rate: $24-$27/hr.

Shift: 1st

Benefits: Medical Dental AD&D PSL

Summary of Job Duties: Under general supervision of the purchasing manager assist Raw Material Buyers in sourcing and purchasing raw materials needed for manufacturing internally and externally.

Specific Job Duties:

• Attend Team and OOS Meetings - report status drive suppliers for status and results address problem material
• Work with internal departments to resolve short term and long-term rejections/problems
• Gather material samples and necessary paperwork and forward to Quality as needed
• Prepare and send out REQs (Request for Quotes) to suppliers....
• Prepare and/or print and proof purchase orders purchase histories and SDALs. Forward to Ira and Purchasing Manager for approval.
• Review open POs and contact suppliers to insure on-time delivery .
• Manage freight quote request forms
• Assist Buyers and Purchasing manager with new supplier onboarding process
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Threshold management

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Basic knowledge of computers and demonstrated competency with MS Word & MS Excel programs Exposure to a dynamic fast-paced manufacturing purchasing environment.
• 2-3 years of purchasing experience.

Skills and/or Training Desired:

• Experience in purchasing raw materials for the supplement food industry or related industry. 2. Familiarity with basic Quality Control procedures and operations.
