The Lobby Host is the face of the Raffles Hotel Singapore Lobby responsible for welcoming and engaging all visitors and residents with warmth poise and professionalism. This role ensures every guest and visitor is acknowledged assisted and connected to the appropriate department while maintaining the exclusivity security and ambiance of the Lobby at all times
Primary Responsibilities
Ensures A Seamless Arrival And Lobby Experience
- Greets and acknowledges all residents guests and visitors upon arrival with genuine warmth and attentiveness.
- Coordinates with relevant departments (Concierge Butlers F&B Security) to ensure guests are promptly and personally attended to.
- Provides clear directions and escorts guests to their destination when necessary.
- Maintains a calm refined and welcoming atmosphere in the Lobby at all times.
- Supports the F&B team in welcoming restaurant patrons during peak hours and ensuring a smooth flow of guest movement.
Maintains Lobby Security And Access Control
- Acts as the first line of staff by identifying filtering and deterring unauthorized or undesirable visitors discreetly and diplomatically.
- Maintains close coordination with Security to ensure guest safety and proper visitor access.
- Monitors lobby traffic and proactively manages crowd control during busy periods.
Provides Connectivity And Service Excellence
- Serves as the central liaison between guests and hotel departments ensuring timely and accurate communication of requests.
- Support the Guest Relations Manager in Lobby Operational Duties as assigned.
- Anticipates guest needs through observation and intuitive service.
- Supports Lobby Operations in guest engagement activities and special events held in the Lobby.
- Upholds the highest level of discretion courtesy and professionalism in all interactions.
Supports Service Standards And Hotel Values
- Ensures service delivery aligns with Raffles brand standards Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOPs) and Forbes/LQA expectations.
- Embodies the Accor Values: Guest Passion Trust Sustainable Performance Spirit of Conquest Innovation and Respect.
- Adheres to Workplace Safety and Health (WHS) and data protection policies.
- Performs any other duties assigned to support Lobby Operations.
Qualifications :
Candidate Profile
- Diploma and Degree from preferably hospitality or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to communicate in a second language (Mandarin preferred).
- Displays exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Naturally warm polished and confident presence.
- Demonstrates strong situational awareness and discretion.
- Anticipates and fulfills guest and visitor needs with professionalism.
- Works effectively under pressure and in dynamic environments.
- Highly organized dependable and self-motivated.
- Ensures confidentiality and upholds the integrity of guest and hotel information.
- Possesses sound computer and property management system skills.
- Adapts positively to change and embraces continuous improvement.
