Job Description
We are on the lookout for our new Senior Software Engineer for the Retail Planning & Operations product team in the Partner & Markets area Technology area.
This is a 7-month Parental cover position with a chance to increase. (Fixed Term Contract)

Collaborate with Product Owners and Software Engineers to deliver both new functionality and iterative improvements to backend services
Establish and drive the adoption of great coding standards
Design build and maintain scalable and reusable services using modern Strongly Typed development languages on the AWS serverless stack (eg. Typescript Python Go Java)
Build data integrations connecting SaaS cloud environments with LEGO Enterprise APIs
Participate in code reviews with other engineers
Focus on sharing knowledge with other engineers
Identify and resolve scalability and performance issues
Working closely with Product Owners and Engineering Colleagues across agile product teams with shared responsibility for the overall outcome and success the products in LEGO Partner & Markets Technology area.
Knowledge sharing and bringing forth new ideas for improvements is a central part of your role to ensure that we constantly strive to produce the best possible quality in our digital products.
You will be part of the Partner & Markets area that is responsible for a broader range of solutions facing our LEGO Brand Retail stores Partners and the LEGO Sales Organization. We are organized in autonomous product teams working agile with end-to-end responsibility for our products and we collaborate closely with the teams that drive the Retail strategy and its operations for the LEGO Group.
Seasoned professional hands-on software engineering experience
Determined as well as an organized teammate
Knowledge of back-end software development using cloud technologies APIs and modern scalable and resilient solutions built in Strongly Typed development languages
Experience working with Extract Transform and Load (ETL) is a plus - our service layer is built mainly on the AWS stack
You have worked with large data volumes and have an interest in data engineering
Hands on with modern CI/CD and engineering tooling is a plus we harness Amazon Web Services CDK Serverless Framework and GitHub Actions extensively
Must be attentive to detail flexible and able to work concurrently on multiple tasks
Focused on quality at all stages of the software lifecycle
Ability to solve research and work through complex problems
Experience with event-based solutions and async technologies
Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling transformation and testing
Familiarity with Databricks for analytics workflows including data processing and notebook development
Good communication skills to work with domain experts analysts and platform teams across multiple domains
Eager to explore new technologies and sharing of knowledge
Advanced English both written and verbal would be ideal as we are an internationally gathered team.
