Position summary
As Corporate Development Associate you are responsible for building a proactive pipeline of acquisition partnership and strategic investment opportunities and for supporting the execution of deals. You will also be involved in post-merger integration activities at acquired companies and lead selected strategic projects and growth initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Conduct market research in defined search fields and compile information on market structure trends key players etc.
- Search for attractive acquisition targets and investment opportunities in defined search fields
- Work collaboratively with other departments to identify and evaluate targets
- Support contacting of targets and arrange meetings with owner / senior management of targets
- Develop detailed financial models and support target valuation and business case modelling
- Coordinate and manage due diligence activities with internal and external parties and prepare finding reports for due diligence committee meetings
- Assist in preparing and negotiating term sheets letter of intents final offers purchase agreements partnership agreements etc.
- Prepare summary materials on potential transactions for presentation to targets Oetiker Head of Corporate Development Oetiker Executive Board and Oetiker Board of Directors
- Assist post-merger integration team in integration planning and execution activities
- Prepare presentations and analyses on various topics for senior management
- Work on other strategic projects and growth initiatives as assigned by the Head Corporate Development
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion throughout all stages of the deal process.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in business finance economics or similar field
- 5 years of relevant work experience preferably in corporate development M&A consulting or business development
Additional Information :
- Strong financial modeling valuation analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English any other language is a plus
- Detail-oriented organized and a self-starter - able to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize based on business needs and urgency
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Able to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders across multiple locations and business functions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Cross-border deal experience is a strong plus
