We are seeking a proactive and outcomes-focused Economic Development Project Officer to plan deliver and monitor key economic development initiatives across the municipality.
Working with the Economic Development team this role is responsible for planning execution and monitoring of assigned economic development projects. The position also undertakes research and data analysis to support the development implementation and evaluation of economic development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan deliver and monitor economic development projects in accordance with Council strategies policies and action plans.
- Manage project timelines milestones budgets and risks and report on project progress and outcomes.
- Conduct research and data analysis on economic trends industry sectors and local business conditions to inform project design and decision-making.
- Prepare project documentation reports business cases funding submissions and evaluation materials.
About You
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business or equivalent relevant experience and/or extensive in-house training.
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated experience producing high-quality reports and documentation for a range of audiences.
- Well-developed analytical problem-solving and negotiation skills with a disciplined approach and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively prioritise workloads and work both independently and collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
- Experience engaging coordinating and building effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
