About The Team

The Student Wellbeing and Partnership Programs Team delivers programs and initiatives that promote student wellbeing and agency at the University. Our team is responsible for The Den and Students as Change Agents programs and we build a sense of belonging through connection networking and social enablers to enhance mental health outcomes student retention and success.

Your New Role!

As a Respect Officer you will enhance the student experience through planning and delivery of student consultation and co-design activities events and initiatives using collaboration and co-design principles to create a positive and inclusive educational environment.

Key tasks:


Promote authentic student partnerships and opportunities for engaging with the student voice to positively influence the student experience.
Advance preliminary work to co-design Students Voice Guidelines for the University
Develop and implement a Student-Staff Partnership pilot program (modelled on the Change Agent program)
Coordinate annual recruitment of existing student partnership initiatives in the team and support their supervision (e.g. Student Wellbeing Ambassadors and student placements)

This 12month fixedterm role (with the possibility of extension) is parttime at 30 hours per week and attracts a remuneration of $91K $98K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation.

What youll bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualification with two years relevant experience or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of supporting wellbeing and inclusion of people from diverse and/or marginalised communities.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate effective activities or initiatives that involve co-design with key stakeholders within allocated resources

  • Your organisational skills are solid in a creative dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Your written and verbal communication skills are fantastic and youre capable in large group settings.

  • Youre committed and passionate about wellbeing and co-design practices and have an understanding of the importance of recognising intersectionality diversity and inclusion.
