About the role


We have a new opportunity for x02 Maintenance Officers to join our Old Timers & Flynn Lodge facilities located in Alice Springs NT. These busy and rewarding roles are offered on a permanent full-time basis of 76 hours per fortnight working Monday Friday hourly rate from $31.81 gross base penalties super per ARRCS Enterprise Agreement 2023.

Commencing May 2026 with opportunities up to 1 - 4 years.

The Maintenance Officer undertakes a range of generalist handy person duties to keep our facilities in the best condition by doing various odd jobs as directed by the Operations Manager. You will be well-organized with general repair skills.

As the Maintenance Officer you will have a keen eye for detail you will be physically fit and able to attend to repair tasks at the interior or exterior of the facility to ensure the residents in our care have items attended to promptly.

This opportunity will suit a proactive person who enjoys working independently. You will be a literal thinker and able to problem addition you will enjoy working amongst our elderly residents and respectful that your workplace is their home.


Skills & experience
To be considered for this role the ability to demonstrate the below is preferred not essential;
Prior trade experience and trade qualification
Prior experience working a manual labour gardening maintenance role
First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
Strong communication skills both verbally and written
Comfortable to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and work at times under pressure with tight timeframes
Proactive work ethic with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable and respectful when working directly with our elderly clients

To work in our industry you must also have or be willing to obtain the following;

Current National Police Check (dated within 3 Months)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Annual Influenza vaccination
Availability to work across a 24/7 Roster to meet operational needs
NT Drivers License
