Job Title: Sourcing Specialist
Location: Edison NJ 08837
Contract Length: 19 Weeks
Pay Rate: $40/hour
Job Summary
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for driving cost savings and delivering value through strategic sourcing supplier negotiations and contract management. This role leads competitive sourcing initiatives supports supplier selection and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure pricing accuracy supply continuity and compliance with procurement standards. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical negotiation and project management skills to support organizational supply chain and cost-optimization goals.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities through supplier and GPO contract negotiations
Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and support supplier evaluation and selection
Source and negotiate contracts across multiple product and service categories
Identify alternate suppliers in urgent or high-risk situations
Engage with domestic and global suppliers to support supply chain objectives
Conduct supplier meetings and quarterly performance reviews
Share sourcing insights and savings opportunities with internal stakeholders
Partner with departments to implement cost-reduction and standardization initiatives
Ensure pricing accuracy in collaboration with pricing and data integrity teams
Manage contract documentation renewals amendments and system updates
Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliant and complete procurement terms
Support resolution of pricing discrepancies and supplier issues
Identify substitute products during recalls shortages or supply disruptions
Track analyze and report cost savings by defined reporting periods
Analyze supplier and category spend using data and reporting tools
Act as a liaison for procurement-related initiatives and inquiries
Support product branding and standardization efforts
Participate in team reviews and contribute to continuous process improvement
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 5 years of sourcing procurement or supply chain experience
Strong negotiation analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel as required
