Job Summary
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance operations and manage a small team of accountants. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise a hands-on approach to financial reporting and experience in multi-entity environments. This role is ideal for professionals with audit and in-house finance experience who are now ready to take ownership of accounting processes and help drive efficiency and compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly quarterly and annual closing processes across local and international entities
- Prepare and review management accounts financial statements and statutory filings (IFRS / GAPSME)
- Oversee VAT and tax submissions ensuring compliance in multiple jurisdictions
- Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants supporting training and development
- Liaise with external auditors tax advisors and regulatory bodies (MFSA MBR etc.)
- Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls

Maintain accurate records intercompany
transactions and reconciliations - Support budgeting forecasting and financial analysis activities
- Contribute to automation and optimisation projects in reporting and data management
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and group finance teams
Requirements

Professional qualification: ACCA qualified or equivalent (CPA MIA etc.)

Minimum 3 years of accounting and finance experience ideally with exposure to audit

Solid understanding of IFRS VAT and financial regulations

Proven experience managing teams or mentoring junior staff

Proficient in accounting systems such as SAP Navision NetSuite or similar

Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders

Advanced Excel skills; experience with automation tools or business intelligence systems is a plus

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Experience in the financial services gaming or tech sector is considered an asset
