AbbVie is seeking a talented and proactive Market Access Manager (MAM) to join our team.
In this role you will play a critical part in providing Market Access expertise across our product portfolio leading the development of compelling value propositions and evidence for payers regulators and budget-holders.
Your strategic contributions will help secure and maintain favorable market access for both existing and future therapies. This role requires Hybrid 3 days per week from our Dublin Citywest offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of market access strategies collaborating with cross-functional partners to secure timely reimbursement for new and existing products/indications.
- Guide strategic HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) and pricing activities to support brand objectives.
- Coordinate and develop formulary submissions for public and private payers and ensure timely accurate and compelling submissions within set timelines.
- Translate complex technical and clinical messages into persuasive value stories for diverse stakeholders.
- Identify and build relationships with key external stakeholders including health agencies government bodies patient associations and clinicians to facilitate market access initiatives.
- Monitor market trends reimbursement policies and health system priorities proactively identifying challenges and opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted partner for both internal brand teams and external stakeholders shaping solutions that address market needs and optimize product access.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Health Economics Health Technology Assessment or a related field.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sector with specific expertise in market access across therapeutic areas such as Oncology Neurology HCV Immunology Parkinsons Disease and Eyecare.
- Strong project management skills ability to influence without authority and a proven track record in cross-functional teamwork and external stakeholder engagement.
- In-depth knowledge of strategic planning portfolio management health system drivers and key influencers in the access-to-medicine landscape.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to research analyze and communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Experience with negotiation strategies business case development and ensuring alignment across local regional and global teams.
- Familiarity with major stakeholders (NCPE CPU HSE NCCP KOLs patient associations) impacting access to medicines in the local and global context.
