Plant Manager (Construction) Galway

Package:

Long-term role with a well-established main contractor

We are recruiting a Plant Manager for a leading main contractor based in Galway. This is a senior operational role responsible for managing all plant fleet and site logistics to support multiple live construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Plant Department.
Coordinate site mobilisation and demobilisation including cranes accommodation telehandlers and temporary facilities.
Manage owned and hired plant to maximise utilisation and control costs.
Oversee maintenance repairs and lifecycle planning of plant and equipment.
Manage plant suppliers and subcontractors including sourcing and rate negotiation.
Manage company fleet transport logistics fuel cards tolls insurance and compliance.
Ensure compliance with RSA and all relevant transport and safety regulations.
Support tender pricing for plant and logistics requirements.

Requirements:

Proven experience in plant fleet or equipment management within construction or civil engineering.
Strong commercial and cost control skills.
Good knowledge of plant equipment and construction logistics.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
