We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Medical/Surgical Ward for a leading hospital in Dublin Ireland. Join a team committed to delivering exceptional patient care with a focus on quality respect compassion and dignity.
Hours: 37.5 per week
Job Type: Permanent / Full-time
Medical Areas: Respiratory Cardiology
Surgical Areas: General Surgery Urology ENT Vascular
Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care and act as a role model for excellence in nursing practice and professional behaviour.
Support nursing staff in patient assessment care planning implementation and evaluation ensuring accurate written and electronic documentation.
Set communicate audit and improve nursing standards making recommendations to enhance quality of care.
Evaluate and supervise the standard of nursing care delivered within the clinical area and provide education and feedback where required.
Act as a change agent identifying barriers to effective care delivery and introducing innovative patient-centred approaches.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including CNS and CNM2 to coordinate care and make appropriate referrals.
Provide leadership and management of nursing personnel including staff allocation rostering recruitment support and performance review.
Promote a positive learning environment by leading staff orientation supporting student nurses and coordinating continuing education programmes.
Deputise for the CNM2 and Matron as required contributing to unit management policy implementation communication and team meetings.
Maintain a safe well-organised unit environment ensuring effective communication adherence to clinical policies and continuous service improvement.
Requirements
Registered in the General Division of NMBI.
Minimum 5 years post-registration experience including 2 years of recent acute care experience.
A relevant management qualification or experience is desirable.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Strong organisational and professional knowledge.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Effective planning and organisational abilities.
Ability to promote evidence-based decision making.
Proven team leadership skills.

Registered in the General Division of NMBI. Minimum 5 years post-registration experience including 2 years of recent acute care experience.
