Job Summary

Manager within the Record to Report tower plays a key role in the new dormakaba business services for Europe. The role holder provides team leadership as well as coordinates and provides reliable and timely delivery of the respective Finance activities. The Manager will support with operational tasks in addition to team coordination and management responsibility. The Manager will work closely with the Record to Report Tower Lead towards automation and digitalization within Record to Report process area. The role is based in Sofia Bulgaria.

A job that matters: your tasks

  • Responsible for human resource planning selection development engagement and periodic performance review of team members
  • Ensure team is set up on-boarded trained and up to date with most updated functional knowledge - policies procedures & process specific documents
  • Oversee and support team members in daily activities organize the work within the team set objectives and quality standards for the team members
  • Drive the teams delivery ensuring efficient accurate and timely accounting and reporting
  • Act as a point of escalation for the team members
  • Ensure process documentation is prepared and updated regularly for all activities performed by the team
  • Continually reviews challenges and updates process and practices to provide the most efficient and cost-effective best practice
  • Ensure service delivery of the team is within the agreed SLAs and KPIs
  • Performs month-end account closing activities and reconciliations
  • Oversee GL balance accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
  • Oversee the recording and validation of journal entries ensuring they are accurate and in compliance with accounting standards
  • Closely collaborate with the Tower Lead in driving automation and digitalization in the teams Finance processes
  • Promote dormakabas culture and ways of working within the team

An experience that matters: your skills

  • 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance with deep expertise in Record to Report area including experience in leading a team
  • Experience in near-shore transitions shared services or business process outsourcing is required
  • Proven team leadership skills ability to manage a team and provide on the job coaching and training
  • Ability to train and mentor team members facilitating their professional growth and development
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles and standards including understanding of GAAP and IFRS
  • Skilled in preparing and analyzing financial statements including income statements and balance sheets to support decision-making and audit requirements.
  • Strong Finance acumen in-depth understanding of Finance closing consolidation processes and reporting
  • Ability to interact with Finance stakeholders at various levels in the organization
  • Good communication problem solving and analytical skills proven ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proven ability to achieve objectives structured way of working
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies will be considered as a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of end-to-end Finance process systems and data flows; SAP experience; strong MS Office skills
  • BSc or MSc in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field
