Job Summary

AtlantiCare is urgently seeking 1-2 PAs for Cardiothoracic Surgery Coverage

Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-based

Dates of Coverage: ASAP

Average Number of Patients Per Day: Operate on 2/day; round on 5 12 patients/day (ICU and floor); includes consults

Schedule: Weekday weekend and night call coverage needed (varied shifts)

Documentation System/EMR: Cerner

Trauma Level/Designation: None

Will You Accept Providers Needing to Obtain State License No need help now

Schedule
-Weekday is Monday - Friday- 8 to10 hr days in-house
-Night call would start 6 pm - 6 am.
-Weekend call Friday at 6pm thru Mon 6am- call and rounding from 7am-12pm Saturday and Sunday

Required Procedures:

Retrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass Conduit
Endoscopic Retrieval
Chest Tube Insertions
First Assist in OR for Cardiac Surgery

Required Duties:

Rounding
Coordination of Care
Assist in Surgery
Diagnose and Treat Illnesses
Order and Interpret Tests
Write Prescriptions
Suture Removal

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days

Requirement description :

NCCPA Certification REQUIRED
New Jersey License or compact license REQUIRED
CSR - REQUIRED
Minimum of 2 3 years of cardiac surgery experience REQUIRED
Fully proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) REQUIRED
Available to start immediately REQUIRED
Experience with Cerner EMR PREFERRED
Mileage/ tolls are the only reimbursements. Will accept lodging for the right candidate- REQUIRED

**** NOTE AT TIME OF NAME CLEAR- The provider MUST function in the OR perform EVH and actively participate in operative cases.***

Rate Structure for Presentation

Hourly rate for Monday-Friday in house
Night call callback
Weekend call needs to have gratis INCLUDED - minimum of 4 hours

New Jersey

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : BLS ACLS PA-C
Weekend Requirements : Weekend coverage with rounding
