Job Summary
Description
This contract position is an on-site role providing a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within the medical practice industry while working closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
As a Locum MD in Radiology you will be responsible for diagnosing and interpreting medical images ensuring accurate assessments for patient care. You will collaborate with other medical staff to provide comprehensive radiological services contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays MRIs and CT scans
- Interpret and analyze medical images to provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss patient cases and treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with medical standards and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide consultations and recommendations based on imaging results
- Participate in continuous education and professional development
- Respond to inquiries regarding radiological findings and patient care
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency in Radiology
- Active medical license to practice in the state of West Virginia
- Strong diagnostic skills in interpreting medical images
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of radiological safety protocols and standards
- Prior experience in a locum tenens role is preferred but not mandatory
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
All IR procedures required
Support Staff: APPs RNs and techs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
