As a Locum CRNA you will play a vital role in the anesthesiology department collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort during procedures. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare teams to develop anesthesia plans
- Provide pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia care
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols
- Educate patients about anesthesia procedures and answer their questions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Respond to emergencies with appropriate medical interventions
Requirements
- Associates degree in nursing with a focus on anesthesia
- Current certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- 1 years of experience in an anesthesiology setting
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Schedule: 4x 10-hour shifts per week
Up to 1:4 call rotation possible
Daily Volume: 5-20 cases
Case Types: Ortho general podiatry ENT healthy peds urology OB/GYN and occasional endoscopy
Required Skills & Procedures: Spinals OB epidurals endoscopies peripheral nerve blocks and ultrasound-guided procedures; PICC lines preferred
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
