As a Locum Hospitalist you will provide high-quality care to hospitalized patients collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes. This role is critical to maintaining the standard of care and enhancing patient experiences during their hospital stay.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Document patient information and treatment outcomes accurately
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions
- Educate patients and families on health management and recovery
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state
- Prior experience in a hospitalist role or internal medicine preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
- Current BLS/ACLS certification required
Schedule: 6p-6a 7 on/7 off
Nightly Volume: 7-8 admits
Open ICU
No procedures required
Support Staff: Intensivists on call
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
