Description
As a Locum MD or DO you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance treatment outcomes for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. This position not only allows you to apply your expertise but also contributes to our mission of connecting skilled professionals with healthcare facilities in need.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in clinical rounds and case discussions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care plans
- Stay current with advancements in hematology and oncology
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Associate-level experience in Hematology Oncology
- Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology preferred
- Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Maryland
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-hour day shifts
No call requirement
Setting: 100% inpatient
Daily Volume: 20-30 patients
Cases: Primarily hematology with some oncology
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
