Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients
- Provide ongoing patient education and support
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in hematology and oncology
- Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Engage in continuous professional development and training
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency in internal medicine or a related field
- Board certification or eligibility in hematology oncology
- Strong clinical skills and experience in patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
- Passion for patient advocacy and high-quality care
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p
1:5 call rotation moving to 1:7
Patient Census: 15-18 per day
Patient Population: Young adults through geriatrics; no pediatrics
80% oncology 20% benign hematology
GU GI thoracic and general tumor boards
Support Staff: Nurses and APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
