As a Locum Nephrologist you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare services collaborating with a team of professionals to enhance patient outcomes. Your expertise will be invaluable in diagnosing and managing renal diseases conducting patient consultations and developing treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Manage chronic kidney disease and dialysis patients
- Perform necessary procedures related to nephrology
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Stay updated on advancements in nephrology and implement best practices
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Colorado
- Experience in nephrology or related medical fields
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of renal diseases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts 7a-7a
Level III trauma
Setting: Inpatient
Daily Volume: 6 patients
Duties: AKF hyponatremia transplant management dialysis management
Required Procedures:Temporary dialysis catheters occasional kidney biopsies
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
