As a Hospitalist you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. This role is crucial in maintaining the standard of care in our medical practice and will involve working closely with nurses and specialists to enhance patient recovery and overall health.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists for coordinated care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
- Participate in rounds and case discussions with the medical team
- Educate patients and families on health management and wellness
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Oregon
- Experience in Internal Medicine or hospitalist settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practices
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
Overnight back-up call
25 beds
Open ICU
Support Staff: APPs
Board certification required
